October 30

🎵It's the most mischievous night of the year"
With pranks that are sneaky
and kids being cheeky
and spooky fun cheer
It's the most mischievous night of the year🎵

Today is Mischief Night
Let's reclaim it and make it better than ever!

Vandalism, egging, making a mess ... These concepts have no place in the world today. But good-natured mischief will never go out of fashion. Let's see how we can make October 30th truly fun and wholesome.

It's time for a New Tradition ~ one of MerryMaking Mischief
Since Halloween is generally filled with getting ready for trick-or-treating, getting into costume, making the rounds or preparing for a barrage of doorbell ringers, let's set aside the night before for activities we don't have time for on October 31st.

Which of the following activities will you make a Mischief Night tradition?

🍏
Booing for Apples
Do a traditional bob-for-apples game or set up a make-your-own candy/caramel apple bar

🍬
Reverse Trick-or-Treating
Turn the tradition on its head by leaving treats for others. Feel free to doorbell ditch. Few people will be angry when they open their front door to find a treat waiting for them. Or leave a basket of candy and a note for your mail carrier or drop off cookies for a local fire station

🎃
Pumpkin-Carving Party
Most of us are too busy on Halloween to find time to carve a pumpkin with the care and artistry it deserves. Hosting a pumpkin-carving party with friends and family is a great way to get the project done while relaxing and enjoying one another's company. Put on some spooky music, serve some seasonal snacks, and enjoy a creative night together

Monster Mash Song & UnDead Dance Party
Do the The Time Warp, dance like Wednesday Addams, Thriller, Ghostbusters, and don't forget to do the Monster Mash. We've added Danny Go!'s Spooky Dress-Up Dance Party video below, because everything he does is wonderful!

🔥
Campfire Stories
Whether you gather around a campfire, in front of a fireplace, or just sit in a circle, make some s'mores and share chilling stories. Read from a book of scary tales or make up your own story

👻
Halloween Decorating Contest
Encourage your neighborhood to get into the spirit of the season. Have visitors view the houses and their decorations and vote on awards for categories like "Most Whimsical" or "Spookiest"

💀
Spooky Scavenger Hunt
Organize a neighborhood scavenger hunt with a Halloween theme. Hide spooky clues around your yard or a local park, leading to a final prize.
(Or better yet, come to Studio 14 for our Sleepy Hallows Scavengings hunt!)

Late Night Flashlight Tag
Using flashlights to "tag" your friends and family makes for a thrilling and safe night of fun
